CAARE’s Art in Schools Project

CAARE is launching an ambitious new art project and we are looking for artists and schools to join us.We are looking for artists to run sessions with schoolchildren during the day and to exhibit their work to the public in the evening. There will be four weekly sessions between the end of April and early June at a central London venue.

We are also looking to hear from any schools that are interested in participating in or hosting the event.

During the day, artists will give a talk to a group of schoolchildren, followed by a class leading on from the talk. In the evening, the children’s work will be displayed alongside that of the artist.

This is an excellent opportunity to inspire children to take up art and we are looking for wide range of artistic approaches. Most importantly we’re looking for someone who can really convey an enthusiasm for art. The government’s recent McMaster review suggested that there is no one better placed to inspire children in art than the artists themselves.
